Book 748: Full Domain (Nice Guys #3) – Kindle Alexander

This series could’ve stopped with the last book—it wasn’t bad, just underwhelming.

This picks up immediately after Full Disclosure and jumps right back into the story focusing on Kreed Sinacola (Mitch Knox partner from the second book) and Aaron Stuart (Mitch’s gaming friend). Aaron’s been called in to help with the case that started in Double Full and was “solved” in Full Disclosure, but he poked holes in the tidy package that wrapped up the case. So, it’s a problem he created for himself.

Book 743: Double Full (Nice Guys #1) – Kindle Alexander

After slamming It’s A Steal and discovering the few people who weighed in similarly I noticed this title on one of their Goodreads profiles and thought why not since I have the Kindle Unlimited membership for the year. And for once, Goodreads came through!

I was a bit put off at the beginning because it starts a bit more like L.A. Witt’s works and Damon Suede’s works in that they go right in and they go hard. Yes, I’m talking about sex. This one starts off with a hot and heavy sex scene where Colton, quarter back, NFL prospect, and All-American Boy, is buried balls deep in Jace, four year out and proud cheerleader, in a college locker room after having just come onto him. Thankfully, it cools down for a bit but I was definitely worried it was going to be constant hot and heavy.

Book 730: Conventionally Yours (True Colors #1) – Annabeth Albert

I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing I let so much time pass between finishing this and writing this review. If I would’ve written this right after I finished it would’ve been effusive and glowing, but about a week later it’s much more measured (I think).

It’s no secret that I adore Albert’s books—seriously, I created an Annabeth Albert tag so it’s even easier for you to find them and I’m slowly working my way through her entire back list, but this one hasn’t stayed with me like some of her other series. Don’t be mistaken, I thoroughly enjoyed it and my adoration of Albert has not lessened, I think maybe it’s just matured.

Book 714: Heartstopper, Vol. 1 (Heartstopper #1) – Alice Oseman

[Check out my updated February 2022 review here.]

I pre-ordered this at the same time I pre-ordered Sticks & Scones. I’d seen it on all the British book bloggers pages and was curious because it looked adorable and the tag line “Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love.” was just too much for my sappy heart to handle. (Obviously.)

What I didn’t realize is there are four volumes currently published and one forthcoming in 2022! And this doesn’t even include the OG appearance of protagonists Charlie and Nick from Oseman’s debut novel Solitaire, which I obviously will be reading. But, OMG it will be worth the read (and the wait)!

Book 693: The Senator’s Secret – K.C. Wells

After picking up My Fair Brady from one of the daily Kindle emails with e-books on sale and thoroughly enjoying it, I looked into my library’s Dreamspun Desires listings and they had plenty. So, you’re welcome ;-D

I picked up this, A Christmas Cabin for Two and Suddenly Yours to start. I mean I do have 200ish books on my TBR shelf so I couldn’t go too wild (to start). I let Tim pick the next book I read by title and he picked this one (mostly because of the puppies mentioned on the cover) and it just happened to be by K.C. Wells, the same author as My Fair Brady.
