Toward the end of January 2024, I was coming out of an intense January term course and entering my final semester of grad school and I needed a break so I leaned HEAVILY into graphic novels. It started a random evening when I passed the bookshelf in our bedroom where my graphic novels live on the top shelf. I was like “OH I could read all of #Hockey! tonight as a palate cleanser.”
One thing lead to another and thanks to a digital library card I re-read these two novels and Bloom and then NINE MORE graphic novels off and on over the next few weeks.
I’m not going to re-review these in detail because I’ve gone pretty in depth twice before on book one and once before on book two:
I will say I loved re-reading these knowing I wasn’t going to re-review them. I wasn’t searching for some tiny detail that I missed. I was just enjoying revisiting Samwell and hanging out with Bitty and the entire team. I loved the no-pressure, and I will 100% re-read these again in the future.
