Book 773: The Christmas Deal (Festive Fakes #1) – Keira Andrews

I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it, if you give me a fake boyfriend/fiancé story and I will read the hell out of it. And that’s exactly what the 13th book in my 12 Books of MM Holiday Romance binge ended up being.

I hadn’t planned on revisiting Keira Andrews after enjoying Merry Cherry Christmas and Eight Nights in December, but I saw the description mentioning fake fiancés and an ex-marine, so you know I was going to read it. And then when you add in that apparently Andrews REALLY likes holiday romances, she has like dozens of them, it was inevitable honestly!

Book 772: The Remaking of Corbin Wale – Roan Parrish

And a bonus Hanukkah novel for what was initially my final book in the 12 Books of MM Holiday Romance binge. I’m capping it at 16 because that’s how many I apparently had already downloaded to my Kindle ¯_(ツ)_/¯. I honestly wasn’t paying attention and as I read and removed I added more. Don’t get me wrong there will be more MM romances, but I need to save the hundreds of others for future years, right?

I say this is a bonus Hanukkah novel because I had completely forgotten this one was Hanukkah rather than Christmas based. I saw it on a holiday list, recognized Parrish’s name and had to grab it. I read Better Than People earlier in the year and found it to be beautifully written and have had a copy of In the Middle of Somewhere sitting on my Kindle since then, so yeah of course I grabbed this.

Book 771: The Chrismukkah Crisis – Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood

Well of course I’m going to like a book that starts off with a Wuthering Heights quote and throws in a Jane Austen reference later in the story. Add in the weird/awkward Star Wars reference (see last additional quote) and this book was basically written for me. Thankfully, it was well written, and I enjoyed the story and characters too!

For my 11th book in the 12 Books of MM Holiday Romance binge I decided to read (and have now—without any shock to anyone—surpassed as I’m typing this) The Chrismukkah Crisis. And this one holds the honor of being only the second one written by male authors (a married couple at that!).

Book 770: Eight Nights in December – Keira Andrews

What a lovely little novella. After reading 10 Christmas romances I knew I wanted to find at least one non-Christmas romance for my 12 Days of MM Holiday Romances. And Hanukkah romances were a lot easier to find than Kwanza or Yule or anything else—so here we go!

Eight Nights in December is the story of Lucas, first year student whose dad recently passed away, and Nate, Lucas’s randomly assigned Senior roommate Sam’s little brother. Nate’s mom (being the take charge Jewish mother that she is, tells Lucas that he’s not spending the winter holidays alone when she goes to pick up Sam from school.

Book 769: Christmas Angel (The Christmas Angel #1) – Eli Easton

On the 10th day of my MM Holiday Romance binge, I went historical with another Kindle Unlimited novella.

Christmas Angel takes us to 1750s London where we meet John, a tall, dark, and handsome detective of sorts, and Alec, an ethereal heartbroken wood sculptor. It also kicks off a series of work connected by the titular angel that span hundreds of years (see first quote in paragraph for the full list). I’ll probably read them all, but maybe not this year.
