Like the last book, this one felt only loosely connected to the previous book. We meet the protagonist for one of the follow-ups, Out of This World, and we may see a few others from the series, but only tangentially.
Out of My Mind is the story of Mac, out and proud after a harrowing childhood, who attempts to kiss Gideon, deeply closeted with so much internalized homophobia, on their first night at campus and that doesn’t end well. Three years later, they’re set up as roommates when Gideon’s unceremoniously dumped by his girlfriend.

This book took a big turn for the series. I’m not sure if they’ll all be quite this disjointed, but I won’t be surprised. We got a brief interaction with Ethan and Greg from book one and a couple of others from later books I think, but no real connectivity as Cameron is a friend of friends.
I have no clue where this Kindle Unlimited book came from. I’m not sure if I saw the author on Instagram or someone else’s blog or (most likely) I randomly scrolled through Kindle Unlimited and saw it and thought oh university/college campus sure why not.
Similar to the authors, this is the book that I didn’t know I wanted until I was halfway through the book. I thought PJ and Felix were both great characters when they made their appearances throughout the series so far, so was glad to see them get a book.
Of course, if half their frats start falling in love with each other, the presidents of each would too. Head to Head brings us Jax, the hipster president of the Sigma nerds, and Rand, the soccer-playing, pre-MBA president of the jocks.
