June Recap 2020

lifeguard chair on beach with bright blue sky and white clouds, Boston Harbor Islands in the distanceThis is going to be a relatively short recap since not much has changed since March and I’m just sort of trekking along. Tim’s finally back to a normal schedule, but I’m still WFH probably through the end of the year at this point (just speculation on my part) and we had to cancel our big August/September trip but are still hoping we’ll be able to get a house somewhere for a week at least.

May Recap 2020

Over sized bowl with a partially eaten salad sitting on top of a laptop.Another month of being home—this really hit home when I went to grab photos for this recap post and they were all home-based . . . again. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been working from home full time eleven weeks now, but not that hard anymore. Like so many others I’ve had to transition from going to work five days a week to working from home and it has been an interesting adjustment. If I’m honest, I honestly thought I would be reading more and I have, but it’s mostly news stories and work stuff as at first I overcompensated and then under-compensated as I adjusted, but in general haven’t done a lot of recreational reading. I have spent way too much time on Zoom calls, but at least some have been with friends (right).

January Recap 2020

legs in shorts with water and sun in the distanceJanuary has been a weird month. It’s been over 70°F and close to 0°F a couple of times, I’ve been sick, we went to a travel fair, and I’ve knit a lot. I’m still trying to figure out where it went, but mostly looking forward to being on a cruise ship heading to the Caribbean in less than two weeks 😀

I’m trying to read a few shorter works so that I can have some posts published while we’re on vacation without internet access for a week, and more importantly I’m trying to figure out what books I’m going to take with me!
