December Recap 2021

What a year! I’m not going to reminisce on yet another year spent in WFH and watching idiots around the country protest things that are designed to keep them safe. And honestly, I’m debating on if I’m going to do my usual Year-End recap (it’s a lot of work!).

I had big intentions of finishing 5 more books than I actually finished and getting them posted before 12/31, but when work gave us an extra week off (even though I had to work for a chunk of it) my schedule and plans got tossed out the window.

November Recap 2021

No clue where the year has gone, let alone the month. November was insanely busy and full of major happenings that I’ll be reeling from it for quite a while.

The end of the year always goes so much faster than the beginning. Seriously, it still feels like we’re sometime in 2020 (especially with the delta variant and all the idiots out there), but nope we’re 3/4 of the way through 2021. Like, where did the time actually go?

The weather definitely turned to fall with a vengeance as soon as the calendar switched to October, but September was a bit back and forth between cold and warm.

Book 861: Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal? – Jeanette Winterson

I picked this book up way back in November 2014 because I’d been hearing great things about it and remembered enjoying Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit in undergrad (and still languishing on my TBR shelf).

I only read this at this moment in time because a few months ago I created a spreadsheet of all the books on my TBR shelf that were under 250 pages that randomly spits out a book title so when I had a bit of a gap or wanted to actually make progress on my shelves I had an easy tool to select a book.
