This is going to be a short update. If it wasn’t it wouldn’t get poste for another two weeks. October went by quick with an apple orchard visit early in the month, a trip to NC to spend time with family in the middle of the month and a flurry of knitting to end the month. November has kicked off even faster and I’m just crossing my fingers I’ll be able to keep reading over the next two months!

September Recap 2021
The end of the year always goes so much faster than the beginning. Seriously, it still feels like we’re sometime in 2020 (especially with the delta variant and all the idiots out there), but nope we’re 3/4 of the way through 2021. Like, where did the time actually go?
The weather definitely turned to fall with a vengeance as soon as the calendar switched to October, but September was a bit back and forth between cold and warm.
August Recap 2021
August was a meh month, like July it was either super-hot or super foggy/stormy. There was no escape from the bad weather and only a couple of “nice” days, but that meant I got more knitting and reading done than I have in a while!
Generally, you can see a massive gazebo just up and to the left of the lifeguard stand in the photo. And you can see all the way to the JFK Library, roughly a mile walking from where I’m standing taking that picture. by time I got to the gazebo the entire bathhouse and lights were gone.
July Recap 2021
This month started in Aruba where the weather was perfect, the breeze was constant and I was reading books 6-8 hours a day while hanging out in or at a pool right on the water.
It ended in Boston where the weather has been for lack of a better term scattered-at-best: heat wave, a bunch of big thunderstorms, rain and under 60°F, foggy as hell, smoke clouds from the wildfires on the West Coast and Canada, I mean seriously!
Elevenses
Do you have any idea how hard it is to find something that rhymes with eleven that’s not seven or heaven? Seriously, these suggestions (rhymezone.com) were laughable and so we ended up with second breakfast which I am here for.
As I surpass my eleventh year of blogging, I’m glad to say I’ve returned back to a more balanced schedule and cadence; and that my stats are reflecting this after a couple of down years where I wasn’t able to blog (or shock/horror, read) as frequently. My stats are up across the board and I’m sure would be even higher if I got back to interacting with other book bloggers, but that’s always a work in progress.
