As promised in my post about my day with no technology, I conquered another list item that day: lie in a park and relax or read and have no other plans for the day.
My proof of said item’s completion is to the right. “Tex,” if you read Now Entering Adulthood you’ll get it, took these two photos. I sat down and enjoyed the beautiful view and just nodded off. I was close enough to people to hear them, but far enough away that it was just background noise. What made this item count is that we had NO plans for the day other than to explore the park.
We drove through the park and when we wanted to stop we stopped, if we didn’t want to we didn’t.
The photo to the left is from the summit (not the actual one, but the one near the parking lot) and I’m looking at Bar Harbor from on top of a giant “cobblestone” left there by a melting glacier.
I really don’t think this would have happened if I had access to technology. I would’ve constantly been checking it and not just sat there and taken a nice nap. And this most definitely would not have happened with how fast the weather is changing! I really didn’t plan my final items out very well, but I’m so glad it worked out that I had this surprise list item during my weekend in Maine!
