Book Cover of "Art Therapy" with Amazon Affiliate linkWhen this one landed in my inbox I wasn’t 100% sold on it but when I realized Gregory took a hotel I’d stayed at (Kennedy School in Portland, OR) and turned it into a romance novel I decided I had to read it.*

This is the story of Jayce and Ryan. Jayce suffered a stroke and some brain injuries that haven’t affected his mental capacity but have affected his speech and ability to do certain things including slowing down the art he does for the hotel as part of a rehabilitation/work program, and Ryan is a hot shot sex machine that’s been brought in to help with PR for the launch of the new hotel.

Book 945: Rediscovered (Do-Over #2) – E.M. Denning

Book cover of "Rediscovered" with Amazon Affiliate linkWhen this landed in my inbox, it was a case do I really want to continue the series, is it really going to be the end of the world if I just let it go?* I didn’t feel super strong in either direction after reading Rearranged.

I sort of wanted more information about what went down between Rowan, the first book’s protagonist, and Harrison, this book’s, parents because it wasn’t given due justice in the first book and it received even less play in this one unless you count Harrison being fired and Rowan quitting after the main drama of this book.

Book 927: Rearranged (Do-Over #1) – E.M. Denning

Book cover of "Rearranged" with Amazon Affiliate linkHaving seen the mess that some people make of themselves when they go to Las Vegas when this book popped up on my radar I jumped at the chance to grab a copy of it.*

And for the most part, I wasn’t disappointed. You have Rowan, the perfect son who has done everything his parents have ever asked him to do including marrying his friend who he has no attraction to, and Sid, the literal red-headed-step child (of his dad’s political rival), who is a contrarian when it comes to doing ANYTHING his parents want him to do.

Book 917: Lumber Jacked (Rainbow Cove #3) – Annabeth Albert

Book cover of "Lumber Jacked" with Amazon Affiliate linkI snuck this one in on the flight home from Florida. I knew it would be a quick read, but I didn’t realize it was a novella even though it says it on the cover. FAIL.

Lumber Jacked features Johnny, the wood-providing lumberjack mentioned as a friend of Curtis in Tender with a Twist, and Cam, a makeup vlogger who returned to Rainbow Cove to help out his grandmother. Cam mistakes Johnny for a stripper his best friend might’ve sent after a bad day, and the story takes off from there.

Book 912: Tender with a Twist (Rainbow Cove #2) – Annabeth Albert

Book cover of "Tender with a Twist" with Amazon Affiliate linkAnd this is what I get when I don’t read the blurb on the back cover—a much kinker romance than I was expecting ¯_(ツ)_/¯. I figured out who the protagonists would be pretty quickly in book one, Trust with a Chaser, but I 100% missed it’d be this kinky if there were any hints!

I do love that Albert likes to spice things up every now and then and that it doesn’t change her character-driven slow-burn romances, so really even if it just pushes me outside of my normal comfort zones I’m here for it.
