Book 745: Full Disclosure (Nice Guys #2) – Kindle Alexander

Book Cover of "Full Disclosure" with Amazon Affiliate linkI squeezed this in between two ARCs to get those pushed out on their publication dates and well who needs an excuse to read a hot MM romance?

After reading Double Full, I knew I was going to finish out the Nice Guys series by Kindle Alexander at a minimum. And after reading this one, I’m thinking I may want to look at other works by Alexander. This one was a good bit better than the first in the series and definitely made me want more from them. Good thing I still have Full Domain, the final book in the trilogy, to look forward to!

Book 743: Double Full (Nice Guys #1) – Kindle Alexander

Book cover of "Double Full" with Amazon Affiliate linkAfter slamming It’s A Steal and discovering the few people who weighed in similarly I noticed this title on one of their Goodreads profiles and thought why not since I have the Kindle Unlimited membership for the year. And for once, Goodreads came through!

I was a bit put off at the beginning because it starts a bit more like L.A. Witt’s works and Damon Suede’s works in that they go right in and they go hard. Yes, I’m talking about sex. This one starts off with a hot and heavy sex scene where Colton, quarter back, NFL prospect, and All-American Boy, is buried balls deep in Jace, four year out and proud cheerleader, in a college locker room after having just come onto him. Thankfully, it cools down for a bit but I was definitely worried it was going to be constant hot and heavy.

Book 742: Crime Dot Com – Geoff White

Book cover of I honestly don’t know how people exist without being paranoid ALL THE TIME. When I first said yes to this after the publicist reached out, it was like 95% because the author’s first name was Geoff and 5% because the subject was interesting. And then I found myself completely absorbed with this book.*

Now I’m not saying we’re totally screwed, but I mean we’re not really that far from being totally screwed and White does a really good job of explaining all of it. He takes an in depth look at the start of cybercrime with the quaint “Love Bug” virus (Wikipedia) to the state sponsored hacking/cyber assault that nudged us into the rotting cesspool of Trumpism that is the US right now.

Book 736: Romantic Renovations – Blake Allwood

Book cover of "Romantic Renovations" with Amazon Affiliate link"I stumbled across Blake Allwood on the MM Romance Reader blog with their review of Love by Chance and thought I’d give him a chance (ha!). Allwood isn’t a five-star read for me yet, but there is a lot of potential. I will say though, if he doesn’t hire better developmental and copy editors and proofreaders he’ll never get there for me.

Rather than diving directly into the Chances series that MM Romance Reader reviewed I thought I’d start with a stand-alone. It didn’t hurt that this one was set on a home renovation show.

Book 680: The Dark Tower (The Dark Tower #7) – Stephen King

Cover art for "The Dark Tower" and Amazon AffiliateTalk about a gut punch of an ending.

The Dark Tower picks up immediately where Song of Susannah ends and not only does it punch you in the gut in chapter one, but it continues to pummel you for the next 700+ pages! And honestly, I wouldn’t have expected less from something of such epic proportions. I can’t talk about this without spoiling it so don’t read any more if you haven’t read it and have any intention of reading it. (You can read the recommendation if you want though.)
