This is going to be a short update. If it wasn’t it wouldn’t get poste for another two weeks. October went by quick with an apple orchard visit early in the month, a trip to NC to spend time with family in the middle of the month and a flurry of knitting to end the month. November has kicked off even faster and I’m just crossing my fingers I’ll be able to keep reading over the next two months!
Books and Bookish Things
I spent a lot of October knitting, but was able to get quite a few books in and clear off my ARC list significantly. Everything I read this past month was an ARC with the exception of one, that I tried to get an ARC for but was denied so boo on them. A good bunch of my reading happened at the beach and on the flights to and from NC.
- Before We Disappear – Shaun David Hutchinson*
- Just Ash – Sol Santana*
- The Lights on Knockbridge Lane (Garnet Run #3) – Roan Parrish
- I Love You, Call Me Back – Sabrina Benaim*
- Elliot, Song of the Soulmate (Love, Austen #5) – Anyta Sunday*
- Souls Aligned (Tasier #2) – Arian Williams*
- Mr. Frosty Pants (Home for the Holidays #1) – Leta Blake*
- Twice in a Lifetime (Sheltered Connections #1) – R.M. Neill*
I ended up grabbing five more ARCs (whoops), but I did read all but one so far and the last one is coming up quickly in early-November.
- I Love You, Call Me Back – Sabrina Benaim
- Mr. Jingle Bells (Home for the Holidays #3) – Leta Blake
- Twice in a Lifetime (Sheltered Connections #1) – R.M. Neill
- Elliot, Song of the Soulmate (Love, Austen #5) – Anyta Sunday
- Souls Aligned (Taiser #2) – Arian Williams
We spent about a week down in NC and it was lovely. The weather was perfect, cool in the morning and warmed up in the afternoon. I took Tim to see the Wright Brothers memorial (which was packed)! I couldn’t remember having been when I was younger, but I definitely appreciated it much more now having travelled around the world by plane. It really hit home how recently it all happened and how much aviation has changed! Tim loved the beach and most definitely was not ready to come home, but we did just in time for a nor’easter (blah).
What’s Next?
Busy month, I volunteered to be a poll worker in early November and we’re travelling again later in the month to Texas to see Tim’s family for Thanksgiving. Like I said, I’m hoping to get some reading in, but I also want to get a lot of holiday knitting done, so who knows! I can already tell I’m going full steam into the MM Holiday Romances (no regrets!) and am already enjoying them immensely.
Hope you all had great months and have lots of wonderful fall things planned.
