A Decade of Blogging

close up image of the #10 on a houseWhat a year. I’m still trying to comprehend how the last 1/3 has played out between coronavirus and global demonstrations against systemic oppression and working from home since March, like it’s just been a weird year since my last blogiversary.

Since last July 20, I have read 98 books. That is SHOCKING, but not really with the number of romance novels I’ve plowed through since March, but stills seems like a really high number. I’m glad over the past year I’ve continued reading whatever I want with little rhyme or reason, I’ve steadily inched closer to 700 books read and blogged about since I started blogging, and I surpassed 1,000 posts on here in the past year.

I’m not going to pick any favorites from the past year, with reading what I want when I want there are so many that it would be hard to narrow down, and I’m not going to reflect on the state of the book blogging world as I did a few years ago. I live in my own little bubble with occasional forays into commenting on others, but for the most part have kept this a weird personal journal that a surprising number of readers and authors stumble across. I’m going to stick with my standard four lists:

    1. Thanks! And me too! I was going to wax poetic about bloggers returning, but it would’ve been an Ode to You, so I saved you the embarrassment 😀

  1. Congrats! I’m coming up on ten years soon and feel the same way, just kind of doing my own thing at this point. Impressive amount of reviews, I should count up and see. I won’t be near 700!

    1. Thanks! Some years are definitely more than others and some reviews are definitely more than others. I’m pretty sure there’s at least one that says “don’t read this” or “OMG read this” 😀

  2. Brilliant milestone, congratulations and Bonne continuation. Sensible choice for the mind, romance, like choosing the “good news” if we could. Here’s to the next decade and more good reading, thanks for sharing your reviews on here for us all read and share thoughts. Its much appreciated.
