Book 817: Better to Believe (Harrison Campus #4) – Andy Gallo

Book cover of "Better to Believe" with Amazon Affiliate linkWho doesn’t love a younger brother and best friend fall in love off-limits MM Romance? I didn’t purposefully time it this way, but this one and the next one (Keeping Kellan) both ended up being this trope.

Coury, roommate of Luke (from Better Be True) is on the verge of becoming a professional baseball player, starts spending time with his best friend’s little brother, Liam, fresh out of the dorm because of homophobic abuse and never had a real boyfriend. The close proximity adds fire to the flame Liam has been carrying for Coury since they were young, and helps Coury see Liam not as the little brother that tags a long, but as an attractive sexual being in his own right.

Book 816: Better Be True (Harrison Campus #3) – Andy Gallo and Anyta Sunday

Book cover of "Better Be True" with Amazon Affiliate linkNico finally gets his turn! Nico, Isaiah’s over-the-top flamboyant roommate from Better Have Heart, is dumped by a hyper-masculine frat boy because of his over-the-top personality, so when Luke, another sporty masculine frat boy needs a roommate (literally same room) for the summer he hesitates, but realizes it’s his only option.

Needless to say, there’s only one bed and so they’re forced to share and continuing sharing through a series of unfortunate air mattress delivery attempts.

Book 815: Better Have Heart (Harrison Campus #2) – Andy Gallo and Anyta Sunday

Book cover of "Better Have Heart" with Amazon Affiliate linkAfter blazing through the first book in the Harrison Campus series, Better Be Sure, I knew I was going to read the four book series back-to-back to get a head for a longer galley.

Better Have Heart features Darren, the wealthy frat brother of Jack who grew a spine and went against the douche canoe (more on that later) who was antagonizing Jack, and Isaiah, a scholarship music student who’s decided to buck the system and ask why a prestigious scholarship is closed to his application this year (he’s also tangentially Jack’s yoga instructor, which was a weird intro).

Book 814: Better Be Sure (Harrison Campus #1) – Andy Gallo & Anyta Sunday

Book cover of "Better be Sure" with Amazon Affiliate linkI decided to grab this from Kindle Unlimited after seeing Gallo post about the fourth book in the series in Annabeth Albert’s Facebook group. I figured if she approved him to post she must’ve read some of his work  and enjoyed it. Add in that I’m desperately waiting for the next book in Sunday’s Love, Austen series and it was a no brainer.

For the most part, I enjoy campus-based MM romances, especially if it’s a nerd/jock romance. This one wasn’t a nerd/jock but a frat boy and townie which worked and I found it entertaining and a quick read.

Book 645: The Porcupine of Truth – Bill Konigsberg

The Porcupine of Truth book coverAnd, I’m back to playing catch up. The downside of all these teen/young adult rom-com books is that I read them so fast and I just want more that I end up going from being ahead on blogging to being two-to-three books behind in just days!

I got this this on Kindle download after reading The Music of What Happens and realizing I was only two books from finishing Konigsberg’s current works. It so happens I downloaded this the same day I went to the library too pick up two books and came back with six books, including the final Konigsberg I haven’t read, Honestly Ben, which I’ll get to probably in two-to-three days at the rate I’m reading these!
